The cabinets and counter tops are in! There are a couple things they need to come finish but they are pretty much done with that. Sorry about the spots, this was in the evening and I think the flash was causing them.
We couldn't have the corner pantry like we wanted, to make the door big enough for Josh it just wouldn't have worked. So this is our cabinet pantry with a open shelf to put our microwave.
Closer view of the granite.

Matthew modeling his figure 8 brace which he gets to wear for the next several weeks. He is doing much better so now it is hard to get him to take is easy so he won't make it worse. For those who haven't heard two weeks ago on Wednesday I got a call from the school at about 2:00 saying Matthew was hurt. He was playing football and had the ball. He got hit from behind and couldn't fumble the ball! :0 So instead he landed right on his shoulder and heard a loud pop. I took him to urgent care where they did x-rays and their suspicions were proved correct that his collar bone was broken. He stayed home for a couple days and then had the weekend to more fully recover. He went back to school and has been doing better and better everyday. For about the first week he also wore a sling constantly but now is able to go without that. No p.e. or sports and he needs to be careful at recess. He'll have x-rays in a few weeks to make sure he is mostly healed up and that everything looks good.
With moving comes packing, and with packing comes getting rid of a lot of stuff. We have started to go through some things including a pile of cassette tapes that we had. We were just throwing most of them away so the kids decided to have some fun with them first. They had quite a pile that we didn't get a picture of and they cleaned it all up!
We got an email from the builder today and he said we might close as soon as the 21st-25th or maybe the week after. I would prefer to wait until school's over to move so I don't have to drive the kids but Josh is of course very anxious. I told him that he can take the bed and I guess some food and we'll stay here :) But it will be nice to be able to start moving some stuff over there even if we don't completely move.

Princess Party
A couple of weeks ago our ward Relief Society hosted a Princess Party for all of the women/girls in the ward. They had dinner and took pictures of everyone. They also showed a little slideshow, it was actually a book that we own called "Daughter of a King". Grandma Harrison gave it to Katie for her birthday because the main girls name is Katie. Then they had some speakers, we missed most of it though because with potty training Sophie skipped her nap and had a full blown meltdown. I don't know how she would have been even with a nap because listening to a few women talk doesn't sound like a party a 2 year old would enjoy :)
Here are the pictures they took. My visiting teaching companion is a professional photographer and took everybody's picture and an unknown donor gave money to have them all printed for everyone.
I tried to pick a more "princessy" dress for Sophie but this is the one she wanted. Generally the 2 year old gets whatever she wants. Sophie had her picture taken first of our family and then by the time we took the group picture she wanted none of it. This is the better of the pictures (the other one she was running away and looking really grumpy.)
One of the YW leaders offered her sister's high school dresses for the girls to borrow and then the day of the activity they went to her house to do their hair. So that is where Julia's dress came from.

A House is not a Home
Whenever we want to go see the progress on the new house we ask if "anybody wants to go to the house." Even Sophie has figured out the difference between that house and our home that we currently live in. She was talking about one of Katie's friends and said, "She is going to come to our house....NO, not our house....our home!" In just a couple months it will be our home as well as our house :)
Part of the driveway is finished so Josh is able to get in pretty smoothly.
The front is completely bricked.
Cement is poured on the patio and they're working on the brick pillars.
There are stacks of sheet rock spread around the house. This is in the living room.
Interior doors, sorry for the blurriness. This the from the kitchen to the garage.
Kitchen with insulation.

Still Going
This is getting set up for putting in this part of the driveway. They like to wait to do the driveway until they are done with the brick because the mortar can stain the cement. But they also want to give Josh some help getting into the house.
(Sorry about all of the underlined text. I don't know why it's doing that)
